Detailed information on using this website

This information is given as a guide to purchasing pictures from this website. If you have any problems please do get in touch by clicking here and I will get back to you as quickly as possible.

To start select your chosen gallery by clicking on the title, or icon, in the left hand 'pane' titled 'Galleries'. This will take you to the gallery page where your images will be displayed in a grid.

If there is more than one page of images available you can select to view varying amounts at once by clicking on the '20', '40', '60' or '80' in the top right corner of the main page area. You will also notice that next to these links is an icon named 'Gallery Options'. Simply place your mouse pointer on the icon, or the title, to see which types, sizes, finishes and / or 'Artwork' options are available for you to buy. Please note that those sizes with 'panoramic' next to them will mean that the image will be cropped to fit in a similar shaped print to a widescreen television, or a cinema screen.

To see a larger version of the images you are interested in you can click on the applicable thumbnail image and if, after closing the larger preview, you are interested in selecting the picture click on the 'Add to cart' link. This will place this picture into your selection and will appear in the left hand 'pane' titled 'Your Selections'.

As you build your selections the last three images that you have added will be listed in this 'pane' along with a mini-thumbnail. If you would like to remove the mini-thumbnails, along with the icons in the 'Galleries' 'pane', then click on the 'Compact Sidebar On' in the top left 'pane'. This will then become 'Compact Sidebar Off' which can be clicked at any time to return to the layout with icons and mini-thumbnails.

Once you have selected all of the images you are interested in purchasing you can check which you have chosen, and perhaps remove some, by clicking on the 'View Your Selections' button. Alternatively you can proceed directly to the 'cart' where you choose your print sizes and finishes and the such by clicking on the 'Proceed to Shopping Cart' button. When you select to go to the 'Shopping Cart' you will be asked to Login. If this is your first visit please click on the 'Not Registered Yet?..' button above the Login boxes. It only takes a few seconds and your information is not only kept private, but we also do not use it for promotional purposes and most certainly don't pass it, or sell it, on to any third parties.

Once you have reached the 'Shopping Cart' stage of the process you will see all of your selections displayed as mini-thumbnails below which there is a small white 'check-box'. The selections are sorted by the galleries from which they originate. Each gallery selection has separate options from which to choose. Simply click on the 'check-box' below an image which you wish to order, or if you wish to order the same size of print for multiple images in a gallery click on all of your chosen images 'check-boxes'. Then you can select a 'Type' (i.e. canvas or paper) which will automatically place the appropriate options in the other drop down selectors. Pick the size you want, the finish you want, and a quantity required and click on the 'Add to Order' button. These print orders will then appear in a list at the bottom of the gallery section, along with a price, including postage, displayed in the bottom left hand 'pane'. Next to each print you have ordered is a red cross to remove that selection from your 'cart' and green plus and minus symbols next to the quantity listed. By clicking on these you can increase or decrease the quantity of individual images to order. You will see that the price displayed in the left hand 'pane' adjusts accordingly. As a quick way to check which image an item on this list relates to please 'hover' your mouse pointer over the list item and you will see the related image becomes highlighted.

When you are totally happy with your selection click on the 'Proceed to Checkout' button. This will take you to the first stage of the purchasing process. It is not an encrypted secure page at this stage as there are no card details required. To reduce fraud we can only deliver to the address where your card is registered. Enter this address, with your postcode in the separate box below, and if you have any message you wish me to receive with the order type it into the 'Special Instructions' box and then click 'Proceed to WorldPay' button. This takes you to the secure WorldPay server (where the style and colours of the page change) where you can make your credit / debit card payment with the peace of mind that WorldPay is part of the Royal Bank of Scotland group. Please note that we only accept payments in GB£ Stirling and that your billing address will already be filled in from the information you have given earlier in the process. We currently do not have an automatic redirect to gwponline at the end of the WorldPay process.
